Like, I’m sorry, olive oil counts as a seed oil if half the things mentioned are seed oils.

“Seed oils” is used to refer to a bunch of oils that aren’t from seeds, like palm oil which comes from the fruit of the oil palm.
Avocado and coconut oil as well
According to the article, olive oil is a fruit oil, because it’s made by pressing the whole fruit instead of just the seed.
Also, unlike seed oils, it doesn’t require additional chemical processing in order to make it edible.
Off-topic: I wonder what’s done with the rest of the olive skins after pressing… That must be a lot of material…

TL;DR: apparently it’s used to either produce brandy (such as grappa) or used as animal feed.
Anything without a dead animal isn’t “real” because unnecessary animal abuse is always the answer.
