Been playing this game for a long time. I used to abuse off-angles a lot in CS:GO because people just kept wide-swinging into common angles. Now though in CS2, it feels like I can’t even react to wide peeks while holding OFF angles for some reason?

Like genuinely, I don’t even have the time to react at all. I feel like the game is just being pushed to such a push and aggro meta, which is a bit concerning imo. Like, I know peeking and re-peeking on ON angles. But, I think it is important to be able to hold off-angles for enemy players who just hold W and don’t bother clearing angles properly. With CS2 however, I can’t even react to wide-peeks on OFF angles which is insane.

In my opinion, I don’t think the only way for CT side to play is to just peek and un-peek all angles because you will run the risk of the Ts seeing you un-peek back into the corner. It’s a lose-lose situation because you are forced to play a peek and un-peek playstyle, pray that the Ts don’t see you un-peek which by then they will have info on your position but not theirs. Meanwhile, if you hold an OFF-angle on a poor wide swing done by a T, it feels like a 50/50 fight instead of a 70/30 fight in your favour. I feel like this dumb down the playstyle of CTs honestly
