Every once in a while I create posts about movies from different countries. I’ve done it with Irish and Australian movies that I consider are the two best countries in produce horror movies.

Now is France’s turn. I think that they have the most violent movies. It’s not that the most violent movies ever are from France but in average their movies tend to be awesomely violent. It’s true that many of them can be flawed but most of the ones that I’ve watch at least are phenomenal. I think my all them favorite has been Haute tension (High tension in America/Switchblade romance in the UK). It’s flawed but it’s so much fun but it was kinda unpredictable to me when I first watch it.

These are all the ones I’ve watch. I suppose there’s more of course: Vertige, Frontier(s), Martyrs, MadS, Ireeversible, Raw (Grave), Irreversible, Titane, Red rooms (French Canadian), Les affames (French Canadian), Infested, Saloum (Senegal), The night eats the world, Under Paris, Al Interieur, Revenge, The deep house, Them (Ils), Horde, Calvaire, Oxygen, Eyes without a face, etc.

What do you guys think of French horror movies? As you can see I mentioned movies from Quebec and Senegal that also speak French.
