I’m not sure that the Trump administration truly considered Canadians boycotting not only with conviction, but with pleasure.
Like serious endorphin rush out of acing your grocery run.
As in, how will you get us to stop boycotting if it’s still fun after the tariffs stop?
Good. It’s not hard either.
It’s at least a little bit hard, depending on how strict you are in boycotting America and your budget.
I try to avoid American owned brands, so when Pattison or Loblaws stores label things as “product of Canada” or “packaged in Canada” I need to look it up.
I also try to avoid these cartel-owned grocery stores in the first place, and so do I then try to find the products at a smaller store at even higher prices? Because labelling is even more inconsistent then, in my experience — even more research and time.
Bypassing places like Amazon too often means having to consider sources from China, and now I’m rewarding their government’s brutal regime just because they aren’t threatening to conquer us.
The owner of the leading Canadian platform wants to help PP gut our government like Musk is doing down south. Do we use his platform?
So do I give up on my angst about supporting the grocery cartels or China? Do I give in and buy products packaged in Canada but who send the profits to the people threatening to invade!us?
The days of just going to Costco, that was pretty easy. This is possible — but I disagree on the easy label.
