Is this about the grant to politico on researching “social engineering”? You know social engineering sounds scary, but it’s not about engineering a society. It’s a term used in security for decades to describe things like phishing and gaining physical entry using people… Socially. It sounds super scary to someone outside the field I bet.
To frame the current USAID as primarily a destabilizing agency is so unfathomably dense, no matter how much you hate the US… how did a MAGA hat even manage to understand Lemmy’s registration process?
USAID (The United States Agency for International Development) is the most common avenue for the CIA to fund rebel groups and other projects aimed at attaining US political and geopolitical interests.
It’s widely know that this is one of their functions. Even gets mentioned in different ways on their Wikipedia page. Under the headings US National Interests …and many countries also have headings on the page for operations USAID has been involved in funding.
This is why Trump went after them, because he’s an isolationist, and the CIA/USAID are not friends to Russian interests.
