But, when I boost one of their tooths, on Mastodon, the “original” author is not the Lemmy community (it remains hide, so IT CAN NOT BE FOLLOWED BY OTHER USERS), but the Lemmy user (who can NOT be followed from Fediverse). I think it should be improved…

Probably a silly question, but how do we initiate the follow remotely for a community? I’d like to try it.

If you are using mastodon and want to add !green@lemmy.ml, you enter @green@lemmy.ml into the searchbar. Then you follow as if it was any other mastodon user. Probably similar on other federated platforms.
