it’s difficult to imagine what a diminished united states would be like if these tariffs generate sufficient enough the economic instability to make us lose our top spot in the world’s economy.

the only characteristic i can envision is a united states with a large and degrading military thanks to its oligarchy plundering any of it’s or any other sort development; like russia is today; but i’m unable to imagine beyond it.

would american exceptionalism or manifest destiny still be a thing if other countries have moon bases while we further struggle to feed & educate our own people?
