2·4 days agoI assume this means SWTOR is finally at an end state after 15 years?

92·8 days agoI’d like to, as I currently drop $20/month on Claude without perhaps using it to the extent that my money would let me, but what’s “good” that can run on a 16GB RAM, i5 12th gen, 3070-equipped desktop?
So all I have to do is scam the IRS out of a greater sum of money then I’d be fined for due to said scam?

Star Wars Memes@lemmy.world•They forgot to include a few subjects in the Jedi training curriculumEnglish
0·11 days agoTCW S6E10, “The Lost Ones”, was the last chance for the Jedi to avoid Order 66, and they utterly bungled it. To quote the last part of the episode as best I remember:
Yoda: “Know now we do, that guide the creation of the clones from the beginning, Dooku did. Hmm…our enemy created an army, for us.”
Mace Windu: “If this was known, public support for the war effort, the Jedi, and the Republic would vanish; there would be mass chaos.”
Y: “ Cover up this discovery, we must; no one, not even the Chancellor, may know. Valiant men, the clones have proven to be; saved my life, and yours, they have, many times. Believe in them, we must; win the war swiftly, we must, before our enemy’s designs reach completion…whatever they may be.”
MW: “Are you sure we’re taking the right path?”
Y: “Hmm…the right path, no. The only path…yes. Designed by the Dark Lord of the Sith, this web is. For now, play his game, we must.”
I know things had to be in line with RotS, but Jesus Fucking Christ.

Technology@beehaw.org•Six Flags has installed one of the largest solar carports in the US - 12.37-megawatt - the annual power use of both the amusement park and neighboring Hurricane Harbor Los Angeles
0·13 days agoIf it was common practice to put solar panels over every big parking lot in the US, renewables could pull their weight so much better.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Why dont we say "WWW" in front of website URLs anymore?
0·13 days agoBecause it’s assumed, like area codes.
I have 9; 5 are uni classmates I’m on a 2-semester project with, and the other 4 are:
-A retired public-sector official old enough to be my grandmother
-A semi-retired realtor also old enough to be my grandmother
-Another realtor who used to work for the first realtor but now is an exec at another company
-His notary-public and possibly-also-CIA longtime boyfriend
All of the latter 4 are older than my parents.

And that’s why I never got into crypto.
