Rice is still harvested manually in many parts of Asia, which is very labor intensive. They grow in warm and wet countries and make for an extremely pretty sight, especially in hilly areas. Length depends on the variety, somewhere between 50 cm and 2 m.

You are right that the tire is a compromise, but in practice the better all season tires are convenient and sufficient for most drivers, especially in countries with a predominantly mild climate. Their biggest downside is cost vs mileage.

Not saying it doesn’t occur in countries like Germany or Belgium, but do a quick search and you will find the US has twenty times as much fatalities caused by police for the same amount of people. Also to become a policeman in Germany means to study for several years and undergo psychological assessment, while in the US new policemen only have to undergo a half year of training.

If you look at the statistics you will notice the reason people feel unsafe nowadays isn’t always found in the numbers. Instead people are more exposed to such stories thanks to social media.

How do you honestly answer such an open question though? Unless someone is very passionate about a particular film, it seems like a good compromise to just name something that fits in the context or allows for further conversation.
