BrikoX@lemmy.zipMto Global News@lemmy.zip•ICC prosecutor, under investigation, steps aside temporarilyEnglish0·2 days agoI don’t buy it.
The alleged misconduct happened in 2023 December. Internal investigation was conducted and closed. Then the allegation was made publically just as arrest warrant was issued for war criminal Benjamin Netanyahu and US promised to retaliate. Patented US handiwork to me.
Even if it were true, that doesn’t make the arrest warrant less relevant, but this way all the genocide supporters can pretend they are not the bad guys…

Because that’s what Zionism is. It’s not about peace, it’s about violence. And that’s who controls current Israeli government.

So by this statement all the Israel’s prisons full of Palestian hostages jailed but not charged with any crime should be freed, right?

The US will have to make concessions. The US economy shrank, while China’s grew after Trump’s tariffs. They also made several trade deals as a result of them. They hold all the power in the negotiations.

Even if she didn’t believe in many of the popular policies she mentioned in the early days, I think she had okay instincts, but was too afraid to go against the whole Democratic machine.
Being a strategist is a business and they get paid no matter if they win or lose, so their interest lie in protecting that business model inside the aparatus.
P.S. Nowhere did I defend the Harris or her loosing strategy. I just pointed out factual mistake.
BrikoX@lemmy.zipOPtoUnited States | News & Politics@midwest.social•Walz on why he was picked as Harris running mate: ‘I could code talk to white guys’English0·18 days agoIt was Biden strategists not her.
Three weeks into her presidential run was the first time the Biden campaign’s pollsters — now hers — held a deep-dive call with Kamala Harris’ inner circle to discuss what she’s been saying on the stump. Over the line came a lot of praise, but also some suggested tweaks. First, said veteran Democratic numbers man Geoff Garin, summarizing their analysis, stop saying, “We’re not going back.” It wasn’t focused enough on the future, he argued. Second, lay off all the “weird” talk — too negative.

Of course they did…
