I normally carry a SAA 45 colt (lately I have been rotating through that and my S&W 64-8 38+p and my S&W 5.7), Mora 511 (or Cold Steel Pendleton Lite Hunter) SWAT-T, several reloads, small OC spray, and a Nitecore 1xAA light. I have a shoulder bag with more med equipment.
I actually do carry a SAA. In a citizen involved shooting, you’ll rarely need more than 5-6 shots. I carry extra ammo, but I don’t expect to survive a sustained gunfight, even with a semi auto.
Pistols and revolvers were sort of a status symbol in modern warfare not so much a weapon, I think. Tbh I won’t even carry my rifle because well it’s mostly useless in any type of combat unless you train every second day and shoot a lot.
I once had to shoot a wild hog, wasn’t a fun experience - dumb, tough and stubborn.
Hope you won’t need to use yours any time soon. 😊
Ok? I’m not open carrying my AR just to go shopping at walmart lol. (not that I’m against the idea but long guns suck getting/out of vehicles and tight space).
I’ve heard hogs are “fun” to hunt. Sadly my state outlawed hog hunting last year. Not that Ohio has a huge outbreak of them compared out west. Glad you are ok though.
What are ya selling?

I can’t tell if this is real or not. Haha

Not to disagree with your choices, but what is your threat model that you can use a revolver to neutralize?
I’m out in the woods a lot and I just like the SAA. But coyotes, black bears, humans. I run Hormandy Critical Duty/Defense 185 grain hallowpoint.
Just because it’s old or single action, doesn’t mean it wont stop a person. These pistols have proven themselves in many many battles/wars.

I hope I don’t either ;)
