By call the expulsion an exodus, [Benny Morris] absolves the settler-colonizer of any cleansing intent and simply portrays expulsion as the natural side effect of a war. Aside from denying intentional expulsion, it’s also a deliberate misunderstanding of the supposedly voluntary flight of Palestinians. Arab feminist academic and activist, Nahla Abdo writes, quote,
without any hesitation, almost all of the Palestinians women and men interviewed insisted that if they had known that they would never be turning to their homes, land, and homeland, they would never have left and would have preferred to die there rather than become refugees.
