A confrontational legislative hearing Monday — with a witness calling a state senator a fascist and lawmakers battling over whether the state should put a bounty on undocumented immigrants — set the tone for this year’s debate on immigration and the state’s role in border security.

You bring up the one example of them going after criminals with multiple news articles in the last week about them going after people with no records? NPR had stories this morning about people with legal status being taken by ICE.

Get this bad faith bullshit out of here.

Facts are now “bad faith”. Is that like “alternative facts”?

Only thing I’ve seen is the school that turned the USSS away thinking they were ICE. (And we still haven’t heard why they were there in the first place, weird in itself.)

Many articles about the Navajo Nation being alarmed about “reports” of ICE sweeping members up. Well FFS, did they or didn’t they?! Not a single article confirming this, just “reports” that “maybe”.

Scanned NPR.com just now. Only 1 item related to immigration: How districts are responding after Trump cleared the way for immigration arrests at schools

Well? Just because a story is plausible and what you expect does not equal reality. Wait a minute? Are you a conservative?

No. What you’re doing is selecting facts that give a biased viewpoint. Just like when Fox News shows 9 crimes by minorities for every crime by a white person, even though there are more white criminals.

Even now you deny the existence of things that we’ve all seen on Lemmy.
