It doesn’t have to be. On tiktok or wherever else you obey some algorithm, sure. But Lemmy should be a place for open, honest communication. Even those you disagree with, just to make sure you know your biases and can reflect on.

I agree in principle, but this is the internet as it is, not necessarily how we want it.
