US President Donald Trump has slammed the “disgraceful” Nobel Peace Prize choice as leaving an “indelible stain” on Norway, arguing that the award should have gone to him.
South African judge and human rights champion Navi Pillay won the prestigious prize yesterday in recognition of her work against war crimes and crimes against humanity.
“Norway” doesn’t award the Nobel Peace Prize.
It’s a prize given out by a foundation.
This is like criticizing America because someone didn’t win an Oscar.
the norwegian nobel committee is selected by parliament, just like the swedish one.
Doesn’t mean that they’re told who to vote for by Parliament.
not in a functioning democracy, no. but looking at it from the reigning seat of a non-functioning one i can see how one could come to that conclusion.
Well if they’re selected by looking at the entire US exec branch admin they’re probably a bit skewed to a certain alignment.
