No they aren’t looking for “status quo” they are looking for an improvement on the status quo and not willing to throw the dice to gamble that what replaces a burned down system would be any better. Or not even much worse. Because given the disproportionate input of the moneyed class it would almost definitely be worse.
Probably doesn’t make a difference to the people dying under both administrations. A preference is admission that your prioritizing the comfort you’ll enjoy under one of them.
