What are your thoughts on doing a Nazi salute when seeing a cybertruck? Is it okay because we are mocking them? Or is it just never okay to do a Nazi salute?

Most people who own these crappy cars can’t even really afford them. Now they are in big trouble because they can’t get rid of them. Lol.

What if everyone would transfer their PayPal credit to a regular bank account on the same day? Would that bring Paypal value down?

hard to estimate, but probably not. I think what makes such companies go down is when the investors fear their money might be lost. that is, when the company is not worth much compared to their invested money.

So only, when the user count is dropping, that would be the case for paypal.

That would be good for the EV conversion market. Since they use a lot of Tesla motors and battery packs.

If I had one I’d keep it, vandalise it myself and turn it into an anti-musk advertising vehicle. It’s a bad idea to waste the resources that went into making them.

While it’s nice to protest outside of the Tesla dealership, people should be protesting outside of US embassies, and while they are at it, protest outside of the Chinese and Russian embassies too. Block them in.

I know this the unpopular opinion at the moment, but what electric sedan is better than a model 3? The rest of the producers have all decided we want to drive crossovers or boxes and simply cannot figure out how to make a frunk.

The first few times sitting in or driving a tesla was cool and novel. But after you have used the fart simulator app a few times, and let your sister in law post a few pictures. It’s just a car that takes a lot of space in small parking spots.

It is low quality, breaks often, expensive to repair, barely fits parking spots, expensive to buy, has paid for addons that have been coming soon the last 10 years

There is a lot of other electric vehicles I’d rather have

        2025 Model 3: 186"L x 73"W x 57"H
        2025 Audi A4 Sedan: 188"L x 73"W x 56"H
        2025 Chevy Malibu: 194"L x 73"W x 57"H
        2004 Ford Taurus: 198"L x 73"W x 56"H
        2025 Mercedes CLA: 185"L x 73"W x 55"H
        2025 Nissan Leaf: 176"L x 71"W x 61"H
        2025 Audi A3 Sedan: 177"L x 72"W x 56"H

What do you mean the Model 3 is huge? It’s small by American standards and standard by European executive compacts. Compared to what, a Leaf? If the Leaf had a sedan counterpart, it’d be the same size as the 3. Vice versa if the 3 had a hatch version, as a hatch is often about 9" shorter than a sedan of the same model. Of all the things against Tesla, I can’t say I’ve heard anyone call the 3 big. If you’re not in North America, I’m not familiar with the compacts and hatches, but that’s why I threw in the Germans I know

I hope they lose money because they bought a 1939 Volkswagan with an electric motor on it, and then claimed

Well how was I meant to know the man who lives on the internet 24/7 and can’t shut up about his opinions of women, non-whites, fascism, lgbt, and lies like he needs his pants to be warm for the winter, was somehow a bad guy? I bought a cool sticker, so I’m absolved of giving him any money :^)

These people bought them because they thought he was a real life Tony Stark, especially the early models and Cybertrucks. I consider everyone driving in one a useful idiot for Trump and Musk.

Boo hoo, don’t care. Hope they all lose their asses.

especially the assholes that slap “I bought it before we knew Elon was an ass” style stickers on their cars.

Musk has always been a miserable piece of shit. You just turned a blind eye to it because you wanted to hero worship a emotionally stunted perpetually 13 year old troglodyte, until you couldnt anymore.

I also remember the hero worship in 2015-20ish, even when projects like Hyperloop and countless others were a well known scam. I worked in top tech and their product team worshipped him, they hated me after I tried expressing skepticism. These people probably think he’s nuts in 2025, but also say “that wasn’t a Nazi salute, stop overreacting”.

So you’ve never done business with a company who’s CEO is an asshole? Never bought gas, used Windows, googled something, gotten on Facebook?

I knew full well this guy was an asshole. So is pretty much every CEO in America. You can’t opt out, you can only choose which asshole you want to do business with. The holier-than-thou bullshit because Musk is the asshole of the day helps no one. If you buy oil at all, you’re funding an industry that has lobbied governments around the world to buy more oil for literal generations, all while knowing the harm it was causing and the people it was killing and would kill.

It’s cool that you’ve picked the Nazi you hate over the ones that had the good sense to stay home, but it’s childish at best to think that makes you a better person.

Nah, quite the opposite. My point is that we have to live in the society we’re in. You want to label one billionaire asshole as worse than the others just so you can feel smugly superior to people who are, for the most part, more leftist than the average and in the same working class bucket you presumably are. It doesn’t help anyone.

Shit on Musk, shit on Tesla. They deserve it. Don’t shit on the people who should be your allies. It’s counter productive.

The best selling car in America last I checked was the Ford F-150, which costs slightly more than a Tesla Model 3. By your math, people who can afford a car payment are rich?

What I’m trying to get you to understand is that the people you started this thread wishing harm to are mostly not millionaires, they’re people who are one layoff or one medical bill away from the abyss, just like most people in America. Your hate for Musk makes perfect sense, and he HAS been obviously an asshole for a long time, and the hero worship he got early on IS and always was stupid as hell. But people catching strays in this fight just because they bought a car doesn’t make any sense.

If you’re going to run everyone through a purity test based on who gets their money, it only makes sense that you should hate on every truck owner too for buying more gas than they need, hate on every Facebook user for making Zuckerberg rich, hate on every person who shops at Walmart for helping destroy retail. Basically, if your test of a good person is “have they ever spent money that went to a billionaire who’s destroying the world” then you haven’t got an ally in the world.
