❗️Araghchi says Armenia assured Iran that US-backed corridor will not threaten its security
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Tehran remains concerned about US influence in the region but has received assurances that Armenia will not take action against Iran’s security.
Speaking in Yerevan today, Araghchi said Iran remained in close contact with Armenian officials and trusted its neighbors not to undermine its security, according to Armenian news outlet NEWS am.
His remarks came amid concerns surrounding the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP), a US-backed transport and trade project through southern Armenia. Araghchi said consultations with Armenian officials would continue, as Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian visited Armenia for the COP17 leaders’ summit.
The issue follows recent talks between the Iranian and Armenian foreign ministers in Tehran on 5 October, where both sides discussed regional connectivity and the implications of outside powers’ involvement in the Caucasus.
This Araghchi guy is a clown
Wasn’t he getting impeached ?
❗️Israeli firm used Google & Comcast ad networks to spy on users, deploy spyware
Expand
Israeli digital advertising firm Discover-Tech used a vast network of online ads to track internet users and help deploy spyware, according to investigations by Canadian research group Citizen Lab and New York-based Confiant published on Thursday. Its services gave Israeli spyware developer Candiru, blacklisted by the US in 2021, and other Israeli surveillance firms access to advertising platforms operated by Google, Comcast, Russia’s Yandex and others. Its ads, often promoting ordinary products, appeared on more than 120,000 websites and 75,000 apps, enabling surveillance simply by loading an ad.
“The way online advertising works today is a systemic security threat,” Citizen Lab researcher Wolfie Cristl told Reuters. Confiant co-founder Jerome Dangu said Discover-Tech distributed at least 10 million ads daily worldwide, while data-sharing arrangements enabled broader tracking. “Very likely hundreds of millions of people would have been touched by Discover-Tech,” he said. Both groups linked some ads to Candiru spyware, though Confiant said these represented a small fraction of the company’s total advertising.
Citizen Lab said Candiru spyware delivered through Discover-Tech’s ads compromised 45 Windows devices at Qatari broadcaster Al Jazeera between 2024 and 2025. Malicious ads also appeared across networks associated with the Pentagon, the International Atomic Energy Agency, the International Criminal Court, the UN, NATO, the European Commission, more than a dozen national governments, semiconductor firms Nvidia, Sandisk, Broadcom and Micron, and unidentified media organizations. Dangu said the ads were particularly widespread in Palestine: “You go to almost any site in Palestine — any site — you find a Discover-Tech ad. It gives them a very complete visibility on the digital activities of an entire country.”
Google removed Discover-Tech for “systematically violating our policies,” IAB Europe suspended it after an audit found violations, and Comcast subsidiary Beeswax removed it “following recent activity.” The Pentagon previously reported that US military personnel in West Asia had been targeted using location data harvested by ad firms and data brokers, prompting several military branches to disable ad tracking on some devices.
Washington’s war consensus survives the midterms
West Asia has little reason to stake its security on a change of hands in Congress.

— 🇦🇿 NEW: Protests took place across Azerbaijan, after the Aliyev regime banned Hijabs in the classroom for both students and teachers
@Middle_East_Spectator
This is why you can’t immediately and outright ban religion and religious expression.
It’s interesting to me it’s written into the US Constitution (and largely ignored, but for the ruling class’ preferred religion), yet we presume to agitate others to ban their own expressions of/religions.
But as I wrote this, it occurred to me that perhaps it’s because the particular version of our preferred religion insists on complacency, and obedience.
I also recall reading that when the USA was meddling in Afghanistan with “charities” like education, they were pushing reading primers from primary school up that drummed on phrases lime, “There is no G-d but Allah. Afghanistan is a Muslim nation. Only Muslims can rule in Afghanistan,” or something of that nature, while also funding and training mujahedeen and radicalizing them into al Qaeda. That may not be exactly correct, the internet has long been scrubbed of those sources, im happy to take correction.
at the same time, aliyev is constantly denouncing the ussr for “oppressing muslims”, never mind who his father was…
—❗️🇾🇪/🇸🇦 BREAKING: Ansarallah have captured Hawab mountain and Harooz mountain in Lahij Governorate, in a push that threatens to cut off PLC forces on Yemen’s southern coast
The Southern Giants Brigades stationed in Ras Al-Arah, which previously carried out two failed counteroffensives in the Dhubab direction, are under a very high threat of encirclement.
With their rear flanks not secured, it is currently impossible for the PLC to attempt any new counteroffensives towards Bab Al-Mandab.

❗️Iran threatens US-linked data centers and AI infrastructure across Gulf if fighting resumes
Expand
Secretary of Supreme National Security Council Mohsen Rezaei has warned that Tehran could target US-linked data centers, artificial intelligence facilities and undersea cables in the UAE and around the Strait of Hormuz if hostilities with Washington resume, according to an interview published by Press TV.
“The United States has extremely expensive assets in the UAE and around the Strait of Hormuz,” Rezaei said, adding that Iran had not yet included the infrastructure among its targets.
He threatened that the facilities and cables would be destroyed if fighting resumed, claiming the assets were worth more than $2 trillion.
Rezaei also said Iran had held back some of its military capabilities during the opening week of the previous confrontation and would pursue a broader plan if the US launched another attack. He did not identify specific technology facilities for potential strikes.
❗️US reportedly seeks two-year Netanyahu premiership before political exit
US President Donald Trump’s administration is reportedly considering a plan that would see Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu remain in office for no more than two years before withdrawing from politics, as Washington seeks to advance normalization between Israel and Saudi Arabia, Israel Hayom reported on Thursday.
Citing a senior US official, the report said the administration is encouraging the formation of a broad-based Israeli government that excludes far-right parties. One option under consideration is a coalition between Netanyahu’s Likud party and Gadi Eisenkot’s Yashar party.
Under the proposed arrangement, Netanyahu would seek to end the ongoing wars and secure agreements with regional countries, particularly Saudi Arabia, before stepping down within two years. Eisenkot’s party is expected to demand binding guarantees that Netanyahu will leave politics within the agreed timeframe as a condition for joining the coalition.
The proposal has not been finalized. The Israeli Presidential Office has also denied reports that President Isaac Herzog is involved in the negotiations.

— 🇮🇷/🇴🇲 NEW: Iran struck two vessels in the Strait of Hormuz
@Middle_East_Spectator
❗️Since this morning, Israeli occupation forces have engaged in ground incursions and attacks in southern Lebanon. Near Kfar Shuba, two military bulldozers, backed by tanks advanced toward the Fasiha area, conducted clearing and excavation work.
Similar vehicle movements and Merkava tank deployments were observed near the border embankment between Zowtar al-Sharqiya and Mayfadoun, accompanied by heavy machine-gun fire and renewed tank shelling targeting the area’s outskirts.
Concurrently, occupation forces carried out aerial and artillery strikes across south Lebanon. Two airstrikes hit the town of Beit Yahoun, while heavy artillery shelling targeted Mansouri and the Wadi Nahla area on the outskirts of Shaqra and Majdal Selm.
