Yep, I’ve seen friends reach the seven figure area through steady seven day weeks and some luck picking their trade and finding industrial clients over a period of fifteen to twenty years. I have seen how little they slept and how kids were basically only possible because they were pretty self reliant from age 12 or 13 and helped a lot around the house. I have no idea how a human could possibly create a thousand times that value in their lifetime.

Education! Teach kids young so they don’t have to do it the extra hard way. Husband and I are about to hit those numbers, but only because at 18 he knew what to do. When I met him at 22 he had 2 retirement accounts already! It caught my attention. I was a more typical and reckless 22 year old, and here was this dude taking shit seriously. We kept our expenses relatively low, but it was definitely more about consistently putting away that %. I worked multiple part time jobs and he always had a full time one. Had kids young (that’s why I worked part time), and studen loans and a roomate for the first couple years. Education! Education will save you a lot of back pain in the future.

Edit: and luck! Thid wouldn’t have worked if either of us had gotten seriously ill or died. And we were also lucky the kids have beem healthy and we had access to public school. And that no one got laid off at a pivotal time.

They can’t. Billionaires can only exist by taking value generated by others. Absolutely nothing Jeff Bezos could do within 60 seconds is worth continuously “earning” over 18.000$.
