On 20 March 2025, I was on the “Deep Dive” with Lt. Col (ret.) Danny Davis — the Israel lobby’s latest victim — talking about where the Ukraine war is headed.
While obvious there is no ukrainian eu desire for peace, Russia should still offer a ceasefire with significant expansion of front lines.
Gifting zaporishia nuclear plant to us is dumb for both russia and ukraine, but russia should promise same low rate to both sides and 50% power output.
Peace means a return to 2013 laws in Ukraine. Future referendums on nationality of oblasts is a good security guarantee for humanist attitudes from both west and Russia.
“Russia should promise…” that’s the problem. Their promises are worth jack shit.
Its too easy to dismiss reality as russian propaganda, and that’s what has made the war so easy.
Your statement simply means the war can’t be allowed to end until greater losses are suffered.

LOL! It wasn’t Russia that broke the Minsk 1 and 2 agreements. I think you’ve confused the two positions — they are reversed to your allegation, which is totally unfounded.
@humanspiral@lemmy.ca Damn you should be one of the western negotiators.
no shit
