For example, I just purchased mass effect legendary edition in steam in mint Linux.
I also have a Windows computer Windows 10, if I installed steam onto the Windows 10 computer and logged into my steam account. Would mass effect legendary edition show up there? I’m asking here rather than trying it , which sounds kind of odd, Because my Windows 10 computer isn’t working really well right now so it’d be kind of a pain to make the test myself.
The second half the question is, if I were to buy a steam deck, would my steam purchase of mass effect legendary edition show up on the steam deck?
I realize this not a Linux specific question, But I wasn’t sure exactly where to post it out.
No, technically it’s true. To play Windows Games through Steam on Linux you need to enable SteamPlay for most titles.
It’s just that I keep encountering this issue, where Steam won’t let me install a demo of a Windows-only game, unless I first add that demo to my library, and enable SteamPlay for it. There is also an option to force SteamPlay for all unverified games in your library (under Compatibility tab in Settings), but it doesn’t help with demos, and I have it turned on.
