Yeah, exactly I have my problems with it too. The problem can be summarised as people see labels as prescriptive and not, as they should be: descriptive.

Just a note as beings who are part of that community: Sub/Dom etc are not inherently sexual as kink isn’t inherently. However, I agree that such labels can trap people rather than free them or let them explore.
