Ireland and Malta are the only EU countries where English is a native language. Did you expect them to use the flag of Malta? That would be weird!

Brexit hadn’t even crossed my mind. This makes sense.
One time I took an Austrian train and the information screen switched the flag for the German language after the German-Austrian border.
That’s a lot of flags! Presumably if the Irish language was supported they would change the EN flag to something else.
