The cringe is unbearable, so I’m going to walk away from this now. I never knew empathetic embarrassment via written word to be a thing before today.

Enjoy the last word, and be sure to bait the line with your best stuff. I’d like to see how easily I can resist.

A server admin has told me that BrainInabox is reporting people who argue with them, and that included me…

So, your instinct is right on mate. Their actions don’t match their suggestion that they actually give a damn about people. They seem to be a strong supporter of fascism and silencing anyone they disagree… Kind of like trump…

Yeah… they’re a massive debate troll. I think they’re perma-banned in both communities I moderate but I’m not sure why they’re still allowed in others.

“Never believe that anti-Semites are completely unaware of the absurdity of their replies. They know that their remarks are frivolous, open to challenge. But they are amusing themselves, for it is their adversary who is obliged to use words responsibly, since he believes in words. The anti-Semites have the right to play. They even like to play with discourse for, by giving ridiculous reasons, they discredit the seriousness of their interlocutors. They delight in acting in bad faith, since they seek not to persuade by sound argument but to intimidate and disconcert. If you press them too closely, they will abruptly fall silent, loftily indicating by some phrase that the time for argument is past.”

      -Jean-Paul Sartre
