/annoyed I paid for a lifetime membership and still couldn’t invite household members without paying for their licenses too, with plex. I kinda got it working local only but it was still crappy compared to jellyfin, where accounts work exactly as I expect them to, for a server I maintain fully.
please explain, I haven’t seen anything specifically mentioned that Plex Home will change.
Yes, you will need Plex Pass for remote streaming at the end of the month (only as admin for all of your users or every user needs Plex Pass or that new “watch” thingy).
Plex Pass sub will now be per server you access to. No more free to stream. Now people who has access to your server, can use the mobile app - and won’t have a 5 minute limit for example. Which is why they’re upping their price for Plex Pass lifetime soon.
Install jellyfin.

Invite your users to your Plex Home and they would be able to use the majority of Plex Pass features…
I did. iirc they couldn’t download media to watch during a trip or remotely stream. It was also cumbersome to make full external accounts.
That’s all changing soon.
