Our entire human history is littered with oppression of “the other”. I could argue that cooperation and trying to recover from oppression is not only rare but relatively new in comparison.
I personally believe that we as humans should strive to better ourselves. However, there are large groups of people who would rather that they win and even larger groups of people that want to see others lose.
And unfortunately those two groups are incompatible in a society.
Wilson was elected barely 1 time, and stayed in office for a second term. FDR was the only president that was elected four times, and that was WW2.
Maybe watch the video and learn some WW1 history. To present his scenario, he spends most of the video talking about what actually happened. Most of it was awful.
I mean, Reagan was the starting domino that got us here.
Nixon too. His Southern Strategy is what Trump used to get elected twice.
Nixon was the starting domino. You can draw a straight line from Nixon to Trump.
You could go all the way to the Three-Fifths Compromise honestly but it’s not as clear of a line but the components are certainly there.
It’s almost like all of our history has led to this.
Seriously, imperialism, genocide/manifest destiny, slavery, the botched reconciliation…

More like Wilson → Nixon → Reagan. This shit is OLD.
