Dès 2017, Emmanuel Macron a cherché à écarter, voire court-circuiter la presse pour parler directement aux français via Youtube, X ou Instagram. Pire : il a fait mettre sous pression des journalistes comme Arianne Chemin (Le Monde), Valentine Oberti (TMC) ou Arianne Lavrilleux (Disclose) pour les inciter a dévoiler leurs sources. Harcèlement des reporters d’image, loi « secret des affaires », omerta sur les ventes d’armes, espionnage des journalistes, ses quinquennats auront plus que jamais porté atteinte a la liberté d’information.
A shame then that the start is so mindbogglingly stupid. Should politicians not communicate on social media? And let the far right, the kremlin and conspiracy theorists have a field say (lots and lots of young people get their “information” there)?
They could, but currently that won’t work because mainstream social netzork are under a controled algorithm system that turned them into a far-right pipeline.
I posted some post for the NFP in sign language, they were blocked by facebook and a good number of users repported those censorship. I have no way to prove it but the book “Toxic Data” prove that social network are used as a geopolitical tool…capitalism, ads…too many thing to sum up.
The current state of social network and internet is bad.
