I’m pretty new to Lemmy but it’s not as active as I thought it would be. When I came on here I expected posts sent within minutes but I’m seeing week/months between posts. I think we should try and be more carefree about the questions we ask.     Absolutely, i see that there are too many instances communities around similar interests, and that dilutes engagement, but if we engage here, just for banter, things will improve

      It seems like a pretty good bunch of people here

      We can keep having silly conversations and entertaining each other

      It’s amazing how a sense of community can come from things like this

      I met my amazing fiancée on the platform that shall not be named, just engaging in the comments, then DMs, then off-platform, then realising that we really liked each other. So we met IRL, and the rest is history!
