I haven’t finished many games but I just did it with Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous. 🎉 I went along the Angel Path and ascended to Heaven.

Now I ponder what to do next. Maybe another run–the Demon Path sounds like fun too? Pathfinder: Kingmaker also looks interesting with a more grounded story?

I’m playing on Amazon Luna and unfortunately Baldur’s Gate 3 is not available there.

What’s Pathfinder like in terms of the experience? I’ve heard of Pathfinder, but never tried them myself.

Are you looking specifically at Pathfinder games or cRPGs in general?

I have heard about build diversity, and your choices mattering in Pathfinder which is always a huge plus for me.

Pathfinder the TTRPG is a D&D derivative with a little bit more complexity. I don’t like the system itself but as a CRPG it is ok.

Pathfinder WotR is a game in the tradition of Baldur’s Gate (I played 1 and 2): Epic story of good vs evil. You can be good or evil or lawful or chaotic. Plenty of potential party members. Lots of tactical battles. As a side-game WotR also includes a “crusade mode” which is strategy like “Heroes of Might & Magic”.

I’m not there for the tactical depth, so I just play on lower difficulty where I don’t need to manage things that carefully and usually succeed in every fight. I like exploring the world, the story, and have some meaningful interaction with it.
