I have an SSD bay (left), an ARM computer (Center) and a plug board (right). They’re wired together as well as to the router above. The problem is that it’s hard to clean the floor.
Is there a way to improve the setup so it’s less obtrusive? Every time we move the stuff to clean the floor the server goes down and needs a reboot. It’s such a pain.
Move it off the floor. To a shelf for instance
Find a little baby rack you can mount perhaps.
maybe something like https://a.co/d/9eG6erY
I just got a geekpi 4u mini rack 10 inch wide for my router, switch ONT and 2 drive NAS. That cleaned up so many cables.
A shelf + brackets will cost maybe $2 at Home Depot. You could (if you wanted) literally just have the shelf a foot off the floor, still under the table. Use drywall anchors.
I think that’s the way to go. I’ll replace the extension lead with a double adapter so the devices can be plugged straight in behind the locker. Then the other stuff can either go on a raised level or on the locker itself. Thanks.
