One dollar per terabyte. Wow. I still remember spending about 300 dollars (back then) on a 40 megabyte disk…
The HDD in our first family computer had 1.5 GB. This was at the end of 1996.
I had a 5 megabyte HD once (given to me for my experiments), but the smallest I actually used was a 20 megabyte one, for which I designed the controller interface. And that was already on my third computer. Before that, it was casette tape (TI99/4A) and 5.25in 170 kilobyte floppy disk (C64).
This seems cool if it works.
I wonder if read speeds will be good enough to use them as primary storage or if these will only be good for archival
