But (in my opinion) not like a man, lol. It’s…almost like sweet onions, I guess? Just a bit sweet, but distinctly onion-y. Also, there’s a bit of a sourness that gets stronger over time.

I’m not sure this is the mythical girl smell, in fact I’m pretty sure it isn’t, but it’s not bad! I know that body odor of any kind is socially unacceptable, buuuut…this ain’t half bad. If I could keep this smell, I probably would. Although, I will be showering today.

Me smelling bad is no surprise. I spent the entire night either huddling under a blanket, sweating profusely or pushing the blanket away and freezing. There was no in-between. I’m certain this is at least partially the kratom withdrawal, because as with any substance agonizing the opiate receptors, the withdrawal causes flu-like symptoms. Also, my bf tells me I’m super warm despite me literally freezing, so I’m probably running a fever/temperature lol.

This definitely isn’t man smell tho. Men smell…musky and literally just manly and…idk, bestial?. I smell like a sweaty human being. There is a difference. And I like it a lot. I prefer this so much to the nauseating smell my body used to produce pre-HRT.

The upside of this is that I actually changed the bedsheets in a loooooong time. I even hand-washed my silk pillowcase that I sleep on (yes, I know, I’m part of the problem, it really is a cruel material…).
I’m extremely low-energy rn, but still…actually doing stuff makes me feel a lot better. And that’s a lot better than spiraling into mania and posting 18 posts on 196 in 4 hours.

Idk. I’m just trying to say that I smell different. I think it’s the hormones, could be wrong. I’m not even completely sure that smells are gendered. But I like it. A lot. And that’s the important part, I think.

Edit: Oh, I should have also mentioned…I haven’t epilated my armpits in a while, so there’s some hair there. Whenever I do tho, any body odor that I have is gone. Sooooo…this is actually entirely my fault, lol

          Which kinda sucks, but I shower and use deodorant often enough for it not to be a problem. It really was just from a night spent entirely just sweating…

          And also, whenever I remove the hair in my armpits, the smell goes away entirely. So there are ways to deal with this, I’m just a dumbass.

    When i was a kid my parents bedroom had a smell in the morning that I’d always thought was the linens that’d been warmed by bodies.

    “Ahh, fresh linens!”

    About a month ago i was hiking and smelled an odor that i hadn’t smelled in quite a while. It was that same smell. I hiked on about 10 or 20 more yards and saw three wild goats. They were pungent!

    “OMG! I don’t even know what smell is anymore!”

    Is that a good smell? I always thought so. Now, I’m conflicted. I’ve heard many people talk about the smell of goats with a sour look on their face. Despite their flaws, my parents are clean people.

    About 2 years ago I had reason to use a pillow that i hadn’t used since before feminizing HRT.

    It was a little different than that linen smell. I had kinda though of it as a cross between the linen smell and my hair. I think I might’ve let him fuck me (have i said too much?). It’s almost sad that he doesn’t exist any more. He wasn’t a horrible fella.

    When i wore circle beard i often thought it smelled like cedar when i stoked it against the grain.

    Ear wax is not a pleasant smell, but I’ve related it to nuzzling my dogs (they’ve been gone well over a decade). Well, probably nuzzling any critter, even the bipeds. I think all our ear waxes smell about the same. When i pull my earbuds out i catch a whiff and get pleasantly nostalgic.

    Now that I’ve started HRT i don’t get the smell that I’ve heard other transfems talk about. I just have a lack of odor. Maybe it’s my age.

    OK now, which one of you is going to step up to the plate and talk about the smell of their crotch? Go ahead. No ones going to be judgy!

      Linen smell? Lucky! Also lucky with the lack of smell. Jealous…
      Goat tho…definitely not. My bf smells like a goat, that’s what I meant by musky and animalistic.
      Yeah, earwax smells horrible, no matter the person. It’s just baaaad

      I’m sorry…it sounds like you’ve lost someone who was kinda dear to you. I’m sorry…

      In any case, I’d gladly take this smell over the one pre-HRT. Any day, literally. I’m not complaining. I might not smell “like a girl”, still, not smelling like a man is enough for me.

      Definitely the source of the smell, as it bounces around and becomes super obvious in my bathrobe. Problem with hygiene tho? I really don’t think so…I shower pretty often (I did just yesterday and today), barely ever smell at all and this was after an entire night spent sweating. I definitely wouldn’t say I have a hygiene problem…
