Good to see RPI has changed their view towards Intellectual Property, commercialization, startups and entrepreneurship. When I went there you had to hide ideas because the university felt they “owned” all ideas from students. Now they clearly want people to run with their ideas and are trying to encourage startups. For example 100% of all ideas from undergraduates are by default owned by the student. clear and simple! upperclassmen only need to worry if “substantial” RPI resources are involved…and even they the promise to work fast to clarify and cooperate. Progress. Also alumni are supporting student and alumni founders through R.A.I.N Nice to see progress, now lets see another more RPI founders like the ones at - Nvidia or Rivian or Ecovative
