I’m bored. Over him, but here’s some storytime about an online relationship I had at age 15 until age 17.

I (15F) was very into Eddsworld at the time, and I met Oliver/Ollie (16FtM) through a Discord server. Ollie was obsessed with the character Edd and I, Tord.

We are both autistic with social anxiety, so although Ollie was awkward, he loved talking about Edd. We even decided to “break the ice” by doing weird Eddsworld roleplays because that’s what was “cool” in our server.

There were these 19-year-olds who would do the same stuff and harass us (even make fun of us who were 13-17) but they did the same roleplay stuff.

After we left the server due to drama, we continued to learn more about each other and become friends.

“Are you sure you guys aren’t dating?” some of Ollie’s friends would tease.

After hearing that, we decided to actually start going out. It didn’t feel much different at first but he loved me so much and I loved him.

What I didn’t know is that early on, Ollie liked a girl in his sophomore year, his best friend Willow (16F). Ollie eventually asked her out and on an alt I later had access to, found posts from when we were dating saying “I love my girlfriend” and “Willow ❤️/Willow my love 💕”.

Around that time, he also liked a freshman named Daniel (15M). As far as I know, Daniel never liked Ollie back. Ollie didn’t tell them about me and I did not know about them until later. He then broke up with Willow.

When I found the alt account somehow (I don’t remember the context), I (then 17) asked what happened, and he (18) brushed it off because it was a “stupid fling from 2 years ago”. He also was hardly ever there for me due to “bad Wifi/data”, as he says, depression, and always being with his friend Sophie at her house since Ollie has family issues.

He rarely talks to me and he’s doing better, and I have no feelings for him anymore. He doesn’t have any time for relationships either. I wonder if I can help him at all when we talk as his friend? Or don’t talk to him because he’s my ex?
