The forecast for the week shows highs and lows for each day, but when you click on the days it rarely matches those numbers. What’s that about? Which one should i believe?
I use Weawow which allows you to see various services side-by-side on a daily or hourly level. Also there, there’s often contradictions but so far it’s the best overall user experience I found in weather apps.
I downloaded it. Love the forecast from different services shows on one page! That’s a fun science fair project that could write itself.
Glad you like it. If you donate (an amount of your choice) to the dev, it unlocks even more weather services. At least that’s the case on Android and for Germany.
Are these rhetorical questions? Because we couldn’t know if you don’t say what weather app you’re talking about.
I just tried about 10 different apps and very few of them show highs and lows on the weekly forecast that match the highs and lows shown when you click on each day.
Can you elaborate? How far off? Are you comparing a daily high to an hourly forecast?
Assuming you are in the US and on Android check out NOAA Weather Unofficial
AD supported free version, pro I think is only $2 so it isn’t unreasonable.
Daily forecast page appears to match the daily detailed descriptions but the really powerful part is the hourly chart.
Bit cluttered you aren’t used to it, but you do get to pick which metrics you want to see. Feels like the old weatherspark days before flash got killed off.
The radar section isn’t anything special so I use a separate app for that (MyRadar). I also have weather alerts running through MyRadar so I can’t say much about alert functionality in this app.
