I got stuck in a loop of these once. I would force myself awake only to wake in another dream.

I used to get them all the time when I needed to use sleep aids. Haven’t had it happen in years now, thankfully.

Happened once as a kid, and I was thoroughly disgusted to actually wake and find I had to go through the annoyance of getting dressed all over again. I put on the same red dress with white polka dots bc why not 😂🤷🏻‍♀️

Was about to write something similar. I woke up, did the usual annoying prep for school, and then I woke up and got incredibly tilted upon realisation because I had to do the repeat back to back. It wasn’t real but I actually did those things already. Lol

This happened a lot to me as a kid. The worst part was I always felt tired in the dream so I’d get stuck “waking up” exhausted in a dream, and then having to wake up again (which was often just another dream).

This happens somewhat often to me under fairly specific circumstances. If I wake up after I’ve been asleep for a few hours and then fall back asleep I occasionally have very vivid and sometimes lucid dreams. They’re very realistic but something will clue me into the fact I’m dreaming

I’ve learned to recognize things that alert me to the fact I’m dreaming. Usually it’s when I try to write anything on my phone like entering a phone number or texting. It just doesn’t work; it’s just gibberish. But when things are too strange and I realize I’m dreaming I “wake myself up” while I’m in reality still fast asleep

The worst is when you realize you’re still asleep and you desperately try to wake up…over and over again.

“Oh yea, I’m having a bad dream, I’ll just wake up.” Psych! Very disturbing. I remember wondering afterward if that was what hell was like.
