A man who harassed and threatened to kill Rideau Vanier Coun. Stéphanie Plante has been sentenced to four months of jail time to be followed by three years of probation.

In an Ottawa courtroom Thursday, Justice Timothy Lipson said that by email, Jason Claude Lamarche “repeatedly referred to the victim being apprehended … with instructions that she be shot to kill if she resisted, referred to the imposition of the death penalty, and warned that her days were numbered.”
