I wasn’t sure what to go as this Halloween, so I went with going as a drone because it was easy to pull out. Plus I was already going to a fetish Halloween party, so it worked out great.

    i never got what “drone” means. from my (engineering) point-of-view, a drone is a machine that is an autonomous system, i.e. a device that has proper programming to do state-keeping (i’m not sure how to properly translate this, in german it’s called “Ist-Zustand” and “Soll-Zustand”, i.e. how things are and how things should be and continuously calculates the difference between these two and then uses that information to decide what actions to take).

    is that related or an entirely different thing?

      It’s fun to roleplay being a brainwashed drone - something part of a hivemind rather than a person. I like being able to shed the burden that comes with being a person at times, get my brain to shut down and relax a bit, and just enjoy being an object.
