I’m glad I happened to by coincidence have moved away long ago from the USA, and cancelled my citizenship as soon as possible. I knew things might get bad since the Obama era, but couldn’t picture Americans letting it get this bad - at least back then. I’d already get into fights with Trumpers even before he was elected. Surely such thinkings would not have been tolerated I thought. I just knew that with how things were going, there’s no reason to subject my future wife at the time to them, when her family is in Finland anyway. Surely Hillary would win despite how despicable she was, because Trump was even worse without a doubt.

And she technically did win I suppose.

There’s no possible way I would not have killed those kidnappers in cold rage had I come across this otherwise today. Or have hunted them otherwise. I don’t understand people who haven’t. I don’t know how you can watch this and be a citizen of a country like that and not do that.

Not everything is solved by violence. But this deserves nothing less than that. Much like Russia ln forces deserve no less either. It’s why I’m preparing to protect where I live now and have willingly signed up to be in the reserves - in case our neighbor Russia decides something stupid too. Because what life is worth living where you allow things like this to happen. Is the emotion you feel real or only hollow, if you see this and immediately don’t go do something, anything, to stop it.

So many of you Americans are cowards. I understand not everyone has bravery, and that’s okay. Not everyone is a fighter - not everyone can fight. But it’s not okay it’s so many of you.

Now I have to do what I can to protect my new home. And I’m glad at the protests done even against much smaller political things here. Because I know you can’t allow it to grow worse. I just hope after this current government the Finnish people vote with sense as well. Because otherwise, violence ends up being the only moral solution.
