A new documentary by Channel 4 called Britain’s Gaza Secrets Exposed reveals how UK government protected Israel. Internal documents show Foreign Office used a process called IHLCAP. It was supposed to assess alleged war crimes. But lawyer Dearbhla Minogue said the methodology was “essentially incapable” of finding a breach. She said: “Not unless they admit it themselves… If Israel either says nothing or says everything was fine then everything’s fine.” So arms sales continued.
Former Prime Minister David Cameron was briefed that Israel’s blockade of Gaza could be breach of international law. He dodged the question 10 times in parliament. Just two days after World Central Kitchen strike killed three British aid workers, he approved UK arms exports to Israel.
UK also supplied around £360 million of components for F-35 fighter jets to Israel. And Keir Starmer government approved £127.6 million of military export licences in final three months of 2024.
Surgeon Nick Maynard worked in Gaza. He saw group of 19 young boys all shot in head and neck on one day. Another day they were shot in testicles. He said politicians know what is going on. And ignoring it amounts to complicity.
