I’ve been using TUXEDO OS’s Debian Testing rebase beta on a ThinkPad for almost a month now. This distribution is honestly great, its easy to use I think I could recommend this to a beginner (except for this on going beta of course) and the software is more up to date than distros like Linux Mint or Zorin and is still stable.
Honest question: apart from Tuxedo hardware support, what would be the reason to use Tuxedo OS specifically? There are plenty of beginner frientdly distributions out there. I liked Tuxedo quite well, but it’s basically a pretty Kubuntu with specific hardware support.
is it anything special compared to normal debian?
How is it better than fedora silverblue or kinoite?
I’ve never used any atomic and immutable distros so can’t comment.
It’s awesome. It’s like opensuse aeon but more popular. I haven’t touched my os in years.
Does it have easy LUKS BTRFS + snapshots setup?
That is somehow really hard on Debian
I’m using tuxedos ethernet drivers on laptop because they are not mainlined and my laptop apparently uses the same hardware. Never was interested in the OS, I’m ok with Fedora.
I tried it once and didn’t care for it. Opinionated distros are really not my thing.
Because people who use it apparently aren’t interested in talking about it more?
