Democratic leaders in the U.S. House of Representatives have condemned a raid on Rep. Ilhan Omar’s home as “deeply disturbing” and accused the Trump administration of a “rogue abuse of power” just weeks ahead of November’s midterm elections.

Let’s see if they do anything besides strong words and maybe some paddles.

Sorry, but that doesn’t really make sense. Here are your options:

You don’t vote at all, or vote third party: If you totally sit out the vote, you are having no effect, or are voting for the status quo by omission.

You vote republican: You are voting for the worst outcome.

You vote democrat: You are voting harm reduction.

    Now to be clear:

    1. “Harm reduction” is not just about you. It’s about LGBTQ people, it’s about people who are on ACA who will die due to continued cuts, it’s about immigrants who are going to be abused. Even if you think the democrats are “fascism-lite” (which I think is severely reductionist), you are severely downplaying, to the point that it mirrors GOP lack of empathy, the harms others are experiencing due to your refusal to vote for harm reduction.

    2. In the primary, please, please vote for the most progressive person you can find, and let corporate democrats eat all the dicks. But in the general, please don’t just think of yourself and your emotional response of “screw them all!” Because “them all” includes your allies.

P.S.: Also, what is the point of downvoting good faith discussion? It really is not nice.
