Every ten years like clockwork, for about the last one hundred years, we complain about the fact that minimum wage is not enough to live on. Every ten years, like clockwork, nothing changes and the rich get richer. Is anything “for the people” anymore?*

Raises in minimum wage don’t come from nowhere. So the boss increases prices to cover it. Cost of living thus increases, so we ask for a rise in the minimum wage. lather-rinse-repeat.

How about we set a MAXIMUM wage, then regulate it to be no higher than 3-5% more than the lowest paid employee in the company? The extra money left can be paid out as dividends to investors and/or taxed by the government.

THAT’S HOW YOU SOLVE A PROBLEM: BE EFFECTIVE, NOT EFFUSIVE.
