“brazen” is closer to “osado” or “audaz” in meaning. “bizarría” (noun) and “bizarro” (adjective) are used in old texts and patriotic songs and implies honorable or generous bravery, such as that of a liberator.

Like recently where I am, it’s pushing “anticuado” as “outdated”. Except that is obviously “Antiquated”.
Don’t rely on word similarity without checking dictionaries, otherwise you will end up like people who think “bizarro” means “bizarre”. False friends are a thing.
“obliguado” doesn’t seem like a real Spanish word to me, and the RAE dictionaries seem to agree with me.
Also it’s very common for certain words to have no equivalent translation with the same root, so you will have to settle for “words used in the target language in this situation” even if they don’t quite get the nuances across.

Technology@lemmy.world•Anthropic confirms new Claude Code limits to prevent game cloning — users report Opus 5.5 is also actively blocking reverse engineering tasksEnglish
1·20 hours agoI feel like the only real way to do AI clean rooming is to have the AI run the decompiler, clean up the output if necessary, and then write a spec document that incorporates no part of the code only a description of what it does and its constraints.
You then reimplement the code by hand, only reading the spec.

2·20 hours ago20 year old patents would be an improvement time-wise over 100+ years of copyright, but a horrible thing given how much more annoying it is to get them invalidated.
While I agree it’s creepy if you specifically only go after women who are way younger, I feel the way this kind of discourse talks about these types of relationships essentially says “Women have no agency and no power to resist being with a man twice their age”.
It feels like a lot of attacks on weird men’s behaviour are actually just misogynistic underneath, in a “it’s the duty of the man to do everything right because women are just dumb children incapable of taking decisions” kind of way.

12·5 days agoPeople were mad at the Steam Greenlight system, so when Valve listened and opened the doors to pre-AI slop, then they started whining about their games being buried in a sea of shit. I can’t blame Valve for taking a cautious approach.

5·5 days agoMaybe that’s what they want. Someone to save them from having to fulfill their promises while also allowing them to collect insurance on a increasingly unsound investment since datacenters now have a multi year waiting list in some places before they are allowed to be plugged into the grid.

22·11 days agoVenezuelans were repeatedly told they were trading one dictator for another with Trump by literally every other Latin American that isn’t a right wing dickwad, and their response was to tell every other Latin American to shut up because “they don’t know what it’s like” (never mind the fact that nearly every Latin American country had to survive through US backed dictatorships) or that they knew they were going to take the oil but that it was a step in the right direction 🙄.
Venezuelan online discourse now loves to shit on Delcy’s puppet government while conveniently forgetting to mention who keeps it propped up.
