There once was an explosion the size of Russia because the coal and oil underneath it got in contact with magma, killing 99.8% of all life on earth (before the dinosaurs) 🦕🦖- this process released more CO2 in the atmosphere than if we would burn all the fossil fuel today (I’ve forgotten by how much more)

Earth took its time, couple million years, but the carbon-silicate balance was restored. Edit: Fun fact 2 - during this time there are records of winds >800 mph, acid rain and temperatures >180°F

Fun fact: There was not a single mass extinction because of the shift of the magnetic poles, all mass extinctions can be linked to the carbon-silicate balance.

  • But if you put someone with no experience in game design in charge of making this, it will just be another boring generic city or forest. I don’t want the city to look like something I’ve seen before - I want a cool experience. Minecraft and games like these only work because they are sandbox games in the first place and open world in the second. And they also don’t use AI but rather an algorithm and a seed to calculate the worlds.

Xenoblade, Zelda, the Witcher, GTA - they all have handcrafted worlds. Every tree is placed with meaning, every hill used to keep you wondering what you’ll find next, every quest fleshing out to the game‘s world and its characters.

But I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt if you show me a single game where AI made something better, heck, it only has to be somewhat acceptable, than a simple seed based algorithm could have done it.

  • Used to drive them to and from school for some time. No, we do not need or even get any special training. Yes, I did have from learning disabilities, trisom, trauma and those in wheelchairs I need to lift in their seat everything up to walking potatoes that needed to be physically restrained not to hurt themselves or anyone around.

From what I’ve seen is that those who have friends tend to do better, also, if the IQ difference is too much, the dumbest kids will drag down the experience of everyone else, even in small 4 kid 2 teacher groups.

  • Companies invented single use packaging - blamed the consumers for polluting the environment.

Consumers then paid for garbage disposal.

    Companies did nothing wrong.

    This spiral continues with everything.

Companies make people dependent on something by eliminating all alternatives, this turns out to be bad for the environment and suddenly the people are the bad ones.

Edit: there’s this thing in Germany called Rorax, which cleans your pipes. The 100% natural ingredients variant costs exactly the same as the microplastic thing. The only difference is that the natural one needs to sit at least 6 hours while the other one can do it in 2. I opted for the environmentally friendly option.
