  • I’m not American, and don’t even live anywhere close North America, but I strongly disagree with this. The most you can blame Americans for is willful blindness.

It’s been fairly clear for pretty much ever that the US is an empire, and regularly commits atrocities like genocide for profit.

In the past, some people were genuinely oblivious to this, for which I’m not sure you can blame them. But others knew it and did not even speak out. Even more suspected it, but did not investigate, because they had comfortable lives.

But then again - the same can be said about nations of Europe, Australia, even some Asian and African ones. Usually to a lesser extent, but still.

Americans aren’t any worse than people in other countries. Their country certainly is and needs to be destroyed, ideally without civilian casualties, but they’re not their country, despite quite a few being brainwashed into thinking they are.

  • Mamy things can be attributed to this. One is people screaming ‘vote’ instead of ‘riot’.

Note that this isn’t to say you should or shouldn’t vote, or that you should or shouldn’t riot. You can absolutely do and advocate for both, but by publicly calling for only one of them, you’re making a deliberate choice.

  • I’m not American, so I may be wrong, but I feel like the ‘Americans can’t protest’ people, and the ‘please protest peacefully’ people are two entirely separate groups.

Personally I would absolutely agree with the statement that Americans can’t protest. Not just like the French, but at all. They’ve been socially engineered to be obedient ever since their country was founded (literally).

And I would also not disagree with Americans burning down police stations. Others may, but I’m pretty sure they’d never agree with the statement in the first place.

  • It only can on the high end. There are no x86 CPUs that’d allow you to play lightweight games while the entire system is pulling just 3 watts.

Not to mention the difference in heat generation. Even at comparable power use, the Steam Deck is loud and getting hot, while something like an AYN Thor is silent and barely warm to the touch.

Which is why every single mobile and low power device in existence is based on either ARM or RISC-V.

Another problem is that x86 is needlessly expensive, because Intel and AMD have a duopoly. You either buy at their insane prices, or you don’t buy at all.

It’s an outdated ISA that is still only used, because the two giants abuse their market power. Even if x86 could match ARM 1-to-1, there’d be no reason to stick with x86, just for the price difference alone.

  • One side destroyed relationship with strongest allies for nothing while other side didn’t.

The US has never had a single ally, maybe except Israel. Only vassals.

If you think this is the first administration to abuse and antagonize countries it usually works with, you have not been paying any attention to what has been happening for the last 250 years.

The US is singlehandedly responsible for the EU still not being more closely united, as it always had and used its de facto veto over anything.
