4 days agoToms Hanks also made a movie 40 years ago about role playing games making you mentally unwell and suicidal. So I’m not sure we should necessarily be citing 1980s Tom Hanks movies for their social commentary value.

Nope, I have no doubt they happen. I’m disputing that a old comedy film is useful evidence of them.
