  • The legal term “genocide” refers to certain acts committed with the intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnic, racial, or religious group. Genocide is an international crime, according to the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide (1948). The acts that constitute genocide fall into five categories:

    Killing members of the group

Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group

Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction, in whole or in part

Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group

Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group

Although the term “genocide” is often used, its commission is rare when compared to other serious crimes that are not defined by an intent to destroy a targeted group, such as crimes against humanity and war crimes.

edit: I should point out that you don’t need to fall into all five categories for it to be genocide.

  • This is true. A very Christian coworker of mine told me that god put animals(as well as plants and the rest of the earth) here for us to use as we wish. He liked to kill animals(hunt) just to blow off steam. Crows were one of his favorites because, “They’re always in season”.

He also once told me the earth is six thousand years old and I laughed in his face, thinking he was kidding around. When he assured me he was not kidding I told him I’ve never before met someone stupid enough to believe that shit.

I’m certain he ended up being a MAGA.

  • I walked out of Total Recall(the original) in the final minutes when people got thrown out into the Martian landscape unprotected and their faces blew up like those little stress heads that you squeeze and the eyeballs pop out.

Once you kill my suspension of disbelief, that’s it, I’m done.

This is also why I never liked Blade Runner. There were too many violations of known science for me to enjoy the movie.
