0·9 days agoand yet I have friends on their fifth attempt at getting into med school since the application process is basically a lottery. The system is has been well past capacity for some time now.
This is for realsies DEFCON 1 bonkers. I work in research, its extremely expensive and mostly funded by grants, this is apocalyptic if not sorted out quickly.
