“Real” awkwardness is usually coming at someone’s expense. I don’t enjoy that. The same way true sadness is usually at someone’s expense.
But if it’s part of a story, fine. I’ll watch a sad movie or a show that has awkward moments. Those very real feelings explored in a fun way that hurts no one can be a good time. Just like no one really enjoys being genuinely scared, but a scary movie can trigger that emotion in a safe and fun way.
I mean I could see how you could get that but it’s not how I read it. I read it as they are not humane enough to effectively collaborate with.
I mean, listen, America is a huge hypocrisy so I’m not saying people aren’t doing that, I guess I just read it more literally.
There’s a lot of assuming, implying, and suggesting in that take. The original just said if they were more humane we would work with them.
You brought up other societies as compared them to us. It’s the definition of what-aboutism, just read up on it again to make sure.
To clarify, what you’re doing is “what-aboutism”. Asking China to be more humane is not a comment on anything but China being more humane.
3 strongly worded letters and you get a official reprimanded. 3 reprimandeds and you get a written warning. And you don’t even want to know what happens when you get 3 of those, a public denouncing of your actions.
In my experience being both and employee and employer it’s not usually the best move to stay. You were leaving for a reason. If the reason was not money, then all it’s done is convince you to put up with it for longer. If it was money, it’s just a matter of time till someone offers more, and the company knows that. They will build redundancy and remove you so you don’t disrupt business by surprising them with an exit.
If you’re not making enough there it’s because the company doesn’t want to pay you more or can’t. If a company is paying you more than they would like, they’re not just going to accept that, action will be taken to fill that spot at the desired price point.
Is all this right and moral, of course not. But capitalism never is, especially these days.
